When facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis, every family has a choice: give up or fight, hope, dream and love their way to a cancer-free world for their child.

We believe “Science is the Cure”, through your support you will be part of our commitment to bring research and clinical trials to the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center. On this evening we will take you through a Parisian dream, complete with exquisite French cuisine, elegant fashion and vital fundraising opportunities at our Dream the Dream Hats & Heroes Ball 2018.

Terry Barber — International Countertenor

The star and Artistic Director of this series is Terry Barber, an internationally acclaimed, rare counter tenor. He is known for his extraordinary range, both vocally and stylistically. Terry is a past member of the two-time Grammy-winning vocal group, Chanticleer, mentioned for six Grammy’s in 2016. He has performed in some of the best venues in the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and Moscow’s Svetanlov Hall. He has been a soloist on recordings for every major label with a variety of artists and even the London Philharmonic.

Sam Azar, our 2018 Event Chair of the Hats & Heroes Ball, will be leading the charge this year.

As one of the top jewelers in Orlando and with offices in Los Angeles and Brussels, he is the co-owner of Azar Diamonds.

Kids Beating Cancer

The Only Nonprofit Foundation of its Kind in America, Kids Beating Cancer is advancing cures through the science of cutting-edge treatment at the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center at Florida Hospital for Children, while providing resources and support for children with cancer, leukemia 
and related life-threatening diseases throughout the treatment process. Kids Beating Cancer pays for the transplant testing and donor identification (costs never covered by Medicaid and only partially covered by insurance) for children at the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center. By removing these financial barriers, any child can have access
 to bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, the best and only hope for a cure. Led by Medical Director, Dr. David Shook, the 
Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center is the only transplant center in Central Florida, and the second busiest center in the state, serving children from all three Central Florida hospitals: Arnold Palmer, Nemours, and Florida Hospital for Children. Year-end projections for the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center is to be the busiest transplant center in the state, offering cutting-edge, new therapies only available at a handful of centers nationwide.
