Kids Beating Cancer started in 1992 with just 1,000 volunteer marrow donors recruited. Today, nearly tens of thousands of volunteers have joined the National Marrow Donor Registry through Kids Beating Cancer's efforts, becoming members of a global movement. Partnerships with organizations like yours made this possible. From corporations to churches and colleges to community groups, Kids Beating Cancer's partners raise awareness about bone marrow donation and transplantation and recruits volunteers to join the National Marrow Donor Registry.   Through our partnerships, more volunteers step forward and more funding becomes available to identify more donors for children and adults in need of lifesaving transplants.

Connecting Patients with Donors - You are the Cure
Bone marrow transplants are a life-changing treatment for people with leukemia, lymphoma and many other life-threatening diseases. For many children and adults, a marrow transplant may be the best -- and only -- hope for a cure .   When patients learn they need a transplant, they turn first to their families to find a donor. But 70% of those patients won't find a suitable match in their family. They depend Kids Beating Cancer and our supporters of the program to get to transplant.

The world's largest registry of donors - You are the Cure
Kids Beating Cancer, an official recruiter for the National Marrow Donor Program, (NMDP), is making sure every patient has the best possible chance to receive the transplant he or she needs.   To do so, together we not only recruit committed donors, we are the first step to the donor search and matching process. Through the NMDP Registry, searching patients have access to donors recruited by Kids Beating Cancer and other US and global partners.
