September 25, 2014 - This day is declared “Dr. NakaMats Day” in a Ceremony at Mayor Dyer’s Office led by Commissioner Robert Stuart. Dr. NakaMats s a top global scientist with three times as many patents as Edison, he is visiting Orlando on a quest to end Pediatric Cancer. Dr. NakaMats Tour Includes Mayor Dyer’s Office, Walt Disney World, Florida Hospital for Children and the Kids Beating Cancer Hats and Heroes Ball at the Waldorf Astoria.
September 25, 2014 - Kids Beating Cancer and Florida Hospital for Children will be unveiling the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center Donor Wall and the John Robert Voight Sculpture. The donor wall will recognize all donors who have committed over $10,000 to Kids Beating Cancer and the Pediatric Transplant Center. The John Robert Voight Sculpture is dedicated to the child who inspired the foundation of Kids Beating Cancer.

Through partnership with Hard Rock International, Hard Rock Hotel and Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, Kids Beating Cancer will sponsor a fun summer party for children and their families living with Cancer and other related life threatening diseases. Children can express themselves through music and art. The 8th Annual Rock 'N Art Party was held on Tuesday, August 5th.
