Community College and University Internships

Internships are available each semester. Please submit your resume and area of interest to:

Kids Beating Cancer

1.   Special Education, ChildLife, and Pre-Healthcare Professional Majors: Working with cancer, leukemia, and related disease children planning and executing arts and crafts, themed activities and parties.

2.   Marketing, Public Relations, English & Journalism Majors: learning to write PSA's and Media Alerts, and contributing writing of our bi-annual newsletter, event flyers, and writing stories on families. (Include any previously written work with your resume)

3.   Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, & Public Relations Majors: Marrow Donor Recruitment Program: Learning to do public speaking and presentations on the marrow donor recruitment process and need at community events, churches, organizational meetings, companies, and schools.   Learning to work with the media, exposure to radio, print, and TV interviews. Facilitating the recruitment drives in the community.

4.   Computer science and Arts majors:   Web design and updates, creative and artistic design with the website of Kids Beating Cancer.

5. Healthcare Administration and Business majors and other contributing majors: Office assistance in fundraising and development, working on annual campaigns and events, understanding the art of developing relationships, pursuing in-kind and cash sponsors.
