Expanding Pediatric Transplantation at the world-class center of excellence, Disney Children's Hospital in Orlando.
Every year, thousands of children get cancer, leukemia and other life-threatening diseases. Many of them will die unless they get a bone marrow or cord blood transplant from a genetically matched donor. Some people find a match in their family, but 70% do not. These patients depend on Kids Beating Cancer to help them find an unrelated compatible donor. Kids Beating Cancer's vision is to provide critical life-saving and life-enhancing services for children with cancer, leukemia, and other life-threatening diseases, and to see that those children whose survival depends on receiving a marrow or blood stem cell transplant, have the maximum opportunity for a cure.
